It’s going to be hard to top 2025’s retro run of Air Jordans. This year marked the 40th anniversary of the Jordan 1, and thus the 40th birthday of Air Jordans overall. There were numerous OG re-releases, limited collaborations, and revivals of colorways some thought would never see the light of day again. The strategy for 2026 is looking to bring back lifestyle-oriented retros from the mid-2000s and early 2010s, as already seen with the likes of the Wolf Grey AJ 5, Black University Blue AJ 14, White University Blue AJ 11, Toro AJ 4, and the White Metallic AJ 5. Joining the retro party is a re-release of the Air Jordan 6 Retro Oreo.
Originally released in 2010, the Oreo AJ 6 has gone down as a classic non-OG colorway of MJ’s sixth signature model. It even inspired a recently released colorway, the Reverse Oreo, which opted for a primarily white finish to the sneaker. Taking the cream cookie as inspo and flipping the cookies and cream placement, the overlays are done in white, while the base is done in black. White speckled finishes are applied to parts of the midsole and onto the Porsche 911-inspired pull tab on the heel. Finishing the design is the clear rubber outsole.

As mentioned at the top, next year will include a barrage of comebacks for non-OG Jordan retro releases. Alongside those previously mentioned, there will be a retro of the AJ 13 Flint, new Bin23 releases (Jordan 3 and Jordan 6), the OG AJ 9, and the True Blue Jordan 3. More information on the rest of next year will come to light in the coming months, and as much as we hate to say it, the new year is only a month-and-a-half away.
The Air Jordan 6 Retro Oreo will be released in full-family sizing in Fall 2026 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Check below for images of the 2010 release, and download the Sole Retriever mobile app for updates on the latest happenings in sneakers.
