As we roll through the latter half of 2025, Jordan Brand’s plans for their 2026 retro releases are becoming clearer. It’ll be tough to follow up on the 40th anniversary celebrations this year that have included re-releases like the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 5 Tokyo, Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard, and the Air Jordan 12 Taxi, but long-time fans of Jordan Brand will be pleased with the direction they’re heading in next year.
Many non-OG Air Jordan retros that were released in the early 2000s are set to return, like the Air Jordan 9 French Blue. Joining this is the Air Jordan 14 Retro Black University Blue.
Originally released back in 2006, this Air Jordan 14 featured a black suede and nubuck upper accented by hits of university blue as a nod to MJ’s alma mater of UNC. These blue hits are reserved for the Jumpman on the vamp, the Ferrari-inspired shield crest on the lateral collar, the suede patch on the heel, and the Jordan text on the top of the tongue.

The rest of the sneaker is rendered in black, from the smooth suede toebox to the perforated and quilted paneling on the midfoot. Final details on the upper include the Jumpman and 23 text on the black heel tab and a tonal black sockliner. Underfoot sits a black, university blue, and silver foam Phylon midsole, cushioned with Zoom Air units.
The Air Jordan 14 Retro Black University Blue will release Spring 2026 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $205.
