Even though the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 5 took place in 2025, 2026 will be a solid year for Michael Jordan’s fifth signature sneaker. We’ve already got word that the Air Jordan 5 Retro White Metallic will be returning for the first time since 2015 (and will be coming with Nike Air branding for the first time ever), but another non-OG is joining the retro calendar. The fan favorite Air Jordan 5 Wolf Grey is slated for a re-release in Spring 2026.
Unlike the aforementioned White Metallic colorway, the Wolf Grey AJ 5 doesn’t necessarily have any major significance in the history of the Air Jordan lineup. It has become one of the more popular non-OG colorways, and the retro next year will mark its first re-release since its original 2011 release. The shape and construction of the Air Jordan 5 have evolved since then, leaning closer to the original shape from 1990, meaning this pair should receive an updated look.
