Jordan Brand is by no means a luxury label, even if it seems like its prices are reaching that of a fashion house. They’ve dabbled in the world of ultra-premium releases both in-house and through collaborators, but the Bin23 collection from 2010 and 2011 stands as the first time Jordan Brand reached the upper echelon of design. The series spanned a handful of key models, but is finally being revived in Spring 2026 with the Air Jordan 6 Retro PRM.
During the Bin23 series’ original run from April 2010 to February 2011, Jordan Brand released five sneakers: the Air Jordan 2, Air Jordan 7, Air Jordan 9, Air Jordan 13, and Air Jordan 5. Each came with premium construction, extra accessories (like wooden shoe trees), and the signature red wax seal stamped on the heel, the latter inspired by wine culture. The connection to high-value wine is quite obvious with the wax seal, but the “Bin23” naming convention also ties directly to the wine industry. Wine cellars would mark specific batches or lots of wine using this name, mostly small-batch and limited releases.

The five Bin23s all retailed for under $200, even with the premium materials and extras, but they were extremely limited. Stock numbers were shared for each pair, with the Jordan 2 limited to 1,097 pairs, the AJ 7 to 1,459, the AJ 9 to 1,331, the AJ 13 to 1,734, and the AJ 5 to 2,133. The wearable art pieces are still some of the most sought-after and hard-to-find Air Jordan releases.
As for the revival of the Bin23 series (we can't really count the Air Jordan 13 Dune Red even if it is nearly identical to the Bin 13s), Jordan Brand will kick things off with the Air Jordan 6 Retro PRM. Pictured is an accurate mock-up showcasing the colorblocking of the model.
Premium perforated leather appears on the toe and midfoot base, while smooth leather is present on the midfoot overlay, heel, and portions of the collar. This all comes blacked out, sans the one small hit of red on the midfoot, the Jumpman on the lace shroud, and the wax seal stamped on the heel tab. Finishing the design is the blacked-out AJ 6 midsole and outsole.
The Air Jordan 6 Retro PRM Bin23 will release Spring 2026. Exactly how the release will go down is a mystery, and the exact number of pairs being produced is also unknown. These will likely be limited to under 3,000 pairs and released exclusively via Nike, though we will have to wait and see what Jordan Brand decides to do.
