Jordan Release Calendar

Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) is the workwear brand’s fashion side, with carefully curated blends of Americana, European style, skateboarding, and music culture combined to create a streetwear style rooted in the brand’s Michigan origins. Just because WIP gear is more fashion-forward and costs a bit more than regular Carhartt doesn’t mean the brand can’t get rugged, though. The latest collab from Carhartt WIP is a second partnership with Salomon on a leather and suede trail shoe designed to look like a boot.
The Carhartt WIP x Salomon X-ALP features a black base in multiple carefully selected fabrics. The toe gets a grainy, rough leather that evolves to suede overlays across the rest of the upper. WIP’s classic tan, green, and maroon camo pattern is added on the tongue and ankle collar, and insoles for a bit of collab branding. Carhartt logos are added on the heel tab and the insoles, and the colorway is finished with light speckling on the black midsole.

The first time the two brands got together, Carthartt WIP added a stealthy blue colorway to the Salomon Shelter CSWP boot, throwing a curveball to fans used to sleek Salomon trail shoes. The new X-ALP continues the Carhartt WIP trend of taking on lesser-known silhouettes, avoiding models like the XT-6 or ACS Pro.
The Carhartt WIP x Salomon X-ALP will be released December 18, 2025 through Carhartt WIP, Salomon, and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $160. For all the latest Salomon collab news, tap in with us at the Sole Retriever mobile app.
