We’re looking up last-minute flights to Australia. In a left-field collab dropping exclusively at Surplus Festival held in Darlinghurst, Sydney this weekend, Carhartt WIP and Nike teamed up for a capsule collection of t-shirts and jackets that have already sent fashion fans into a tailspin.

Announced in a joint Instagram post between Carhartt’s WIP streetwear label and Surplus Festival, the WIP x Nike Sportswear collection features two t-shirts and an OG Active Jacket. The shirts come in two colorways, black and white, and neon green and black. Starting with a classic Carhartt breast logo pocket T, the collab features a large Swoosh covering the front of the shirt, trailing behind the Carhartt patch logo. The Active Jacket is more detailed, with a “unique treatment offering a worn-in, burnished finish,” featuring a Carhartt x Surplus tag on the front pocket and a rubberized Swoosh and Surplus logos in large print on the back.

Surplus, thrown in partnership with Nike, is the largest streetwear and sneaker festival in Sydney, stretching across the Darlinghurst area for an entire weekend with multi-venue events. This year, we’ve already seen a pair of HOMERUN x Nike Air Max Plus set to debut at Surplus, and with Scarr’s Pizza, Nigel Sylvester, and more set to host events over the weekend, we’re expecting to start next week with a handful of exclusive releases from the festival.

The Carhartt WIP x Nike capsule will be released October 18, 2025 at Carhartt WIP’s bespoke WIPNEWS stall at Surplus Festival. There’s no info about a wider release on the collab at this point, so if you’re anywhere in the southern hemisphere, start looking at travel options.
