Pump Up the Present: Reebok is Adding an OG Pump Tongue and Colorway to the Engine A

Reebok has spent the past few years refreshing its basketball program, adding WNBA superstars like Angel Reese and plenty of NIL talent to its sponsorship roster. In addition to the new faces, though, Reebok brought Shaq and Allen Iverson to leadership positions to help bridge the old-school and the new, tapping into the brand’s ‘90s hoops nostalgia.

The Pump is Back

The Reebok Engine A Pump is a perfect crossover from past to present, adding a classic black and white Reebok Pump colorway to the modern performance Engine A, complete with an orange air pump on the tongue. Bringing back the technology that made Reebok basketball famous, the new-era Pump tightens the fit by adding air to the tongue.

Featuring a black TPU and mesh base with white overlays on the stabilization panels at the back of the side panels and the heel, the outsole and sockliner add hits of grey. The star of the shoe is the orange basketball pump in the middle of the tongue, with an orange Reebok logo on the lateral side of the midsole and orange in the vents and the back of the heel.
