The NCAA has always been more professional than amateur, no matter what the titles say, but these days, the line is blurring to a point that no optometrist can fix. Case in point? Tounde Yessoufou. The 20-year-old hooper made a splash in his Freshman year at Baylor last season, but instead of heading straight to the league, Yessoufou jumped into the transfer portal and came out in a St. John’s uniform. Now, before starting his first season with the Red Storm, Yessoufou is lacing up a new sneaker deal with Reebok.

RBK is Back in Basketball

Announced in a joint Instagram post from Reebok and Yessoufou this week, the latest addition to the Reebok squad joins Angel Reese, Darius Acuff, Aneesah Morrow, Lauren Betts, and more on the brand’s growing basketball roster, plus Karol G, Bryson DeChambeau, and plenty of other non-basketball stars.

“A consensus five-star prospect and one of the top transfers in college basketball, Tounde is known for his explosive athleticism, physicality, and relentless competitive edge, representing the next generation of athletes pushing the game forward,” Reebok wrote in the announcement. “Welcome to the future of Reebok Basketball.”

NIL Money is Changing the Game

We don’t have any exact specifics on the nature of Yessoufou’s deal with Reebok, but expect him to be wearing as much gear as possible off the court, and get ready to see some PEs when he finally does declare for the draft and make it to the league.
