Nike has always toed a fine line between performance footwear and lifestyle models, bringing plenty of technology to its casual line and well-thought-out colorways and collaborations to high-tech sectors like running. The Pegasus Premium is the latest crossover hit to transition from performance running shoe to beloved walking shoe, and a new colorway in purple with paint splatter leans into its off-track popularity.
The Pegasus Premium Cave Purple Speckle starts with a purple upper so dark it almost looks black. The mesh toecap is lighter than the knit side panels for a greyish purple look, but the eye-catching part comes from paint speckles in silver added to the side panels and midsole. Standing out against the dark background, the splatter looks nearly teal. Sitting between layers of speckled ReactX and ZoomX foam, the Air Zoom unit is an icy translucent blue. To finish the night sky style, the colorway adds a shiny metallic Swoosh on the lateral side panel.
