Nike officially revealed the Vomero Premium at the beginning of the Summer, and the shoe has become the undisputed king of sole stacks before it even drops. The extra-thick running shoe is the pinnacle of the massive midsole trend that’s taken over premium racing footwear.
The latest Nike Vomero Premium colorway is a mix of coconut milk and sail on the upper, with hits of bright orange on and around the midsole Air Zoom units. The off-white engineered mesh upper is only broken up by the black Swoosh and hits of black and orange on the tongue label. The “AIR” and “MAX” logos built into the side panels are also done in cream, letting them blend in with the rest of the upper, perfect for runners who prefer more subtle branding.

With 55mm of stack height underfoot, the ZoomX foam and Air Zoom midsole is the star of the show on the Vomero Premium. The neutral colored upper paired with orange pops on the midsole looks like a spaceship or underlights on a souped-up Civic. We first saw mock-ups and testing images of this colorway when Nike debuted the silhouette in June, hence the Prototype colorway name, but these are the first official product images.
The Nike Vomero Premium Prototype will be released Holiday 2025 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $230.
