Running is an all-seasons sport. From the hottest days of the summer to the coldest days of the winter, you can find dedicated runners outside getting their strides in. With winter upon us, Nike is showing out for the hardcore racers, dropping one of Beaverton’s premium running shoes in a seasonally-appropriate blend of dark brown shades with minimal Swoosh branding.
The Nike Pegasus Premium Caldera Brown blends dark brown fabric with vertically stitched stretch on the toe and side panels, and a more traditional diamond mesh pattern on the rest of the upper in a lighter pecan brown. The regular side panel Swooshes are removed, replaced by a small, shiny black Swoosh on the lateral side heel. More texture is added to the colorway with a strip of rip-stop fabric on the lace panel, a perforated lower tongue, and a tighter mesh pattern around the outside of the ankle collar. As for cushioning, Nike packs the Peg Premium with three different technologies, ZoomX, ReactX, and Zoom Air, all combining to create one of the most comfortable sneakers on the market.

Nike’s running line had a true renaissance in 2025, in large part thanks to the Pegasus Premium and its recent counterpart, the Vomero Premium. Along with the Alphafly and Zoom Fly lines, Beaverton was able to return to its running roots and compete at the highest levels with emergent running favorites like Brooks and tech-forward giants like adidas. Nike has always been able to balance style and performance, and this sparsely logoed Pegasus Premium is a great example.
The Nike Pegasus Premium Caldera Brown will be released December 18, 2025 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $220. For all the latest Nike running news, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
