The Nike Running Poets collection doesn’t come with a backstory to explain the connection between haikus and hard days on the track, but a blend of subtle earth tone colroways connect the lineup of shoes into one unified concept, and maybe that’s enough to consider poetry. Featuring pairs of the Pegasus 41, Pegasus Premium, Vomero 18, Vomero Plus, Zoom Fly 6, and Vomero 5 Roam, the dusty colored shoes are definitely ready for fall race season.

Taking tan and khaki uppers and blending in orange and red accents, the Running Poets collection looks like a smattering of fall leaves. The performance Vomero pairs from the pack are standouts, with clean khaki mesh uppers, burnt orange on the midsoles, and a hit of vibrant pink on the outsoles. The Pegasus pairs are done up with more individual flair, with a two-tone orange and cream upper on the GORE-TEX Pegasus 41, and a more subtle military green vibe on the Pegasus Premium, complete with a strip of bright pink on the Air unit.

The Vomero 5 Roam and the Zoom Fly 6 are the most technical of the pack, with a two-tone asymmetrical colorway on the Zoom Fly 6 and the rugged tech features on the Vomero 5 Roam, making the two pairs the most unique of the collection. Despite the lack of clear meaning, every shoe in the pack features prominent “Running Poets” branding.
