Nike Brings Mardi Gras Energy to All-Over Print Vomero Premium

Few American traditions are rooted in debaucherous fun quite like Mardi Gras. For over 300 years, New Orleans has paraded, dressed up, sang, danced, and drank more than humanly possible to celebrate the annual holiday. With Mardi Gras 2026 coming up in February, a newly leaked pair of the Nike Vomero Premium appears to be a Fat Tuesday-inspired colorway covered in gold.

The Nike Vomero Premium FDL has only popped up in one photo, but the ultra-stacked running shoe is draped in gold mesh with an all-over print that appears to be a variant of the fleur-de-lis, a staple of New Orleans culture, which would make sense with the FDL name. In addition to the gold upper and gold midsole, the Air Zoom in the forefoot and heel is done in glowing blue for a hit of contrasting color. The Mardi Gras connection hasn’t been confirmed, but we’ve got a pretty good track record of guesses.

Combining ZoomX foam and Air Zoom in the middle, the Vomero Premium has been the undisputed stack champion of the Nike running line, adding a massive 55mm of cushion underfoot. An immediate lifestyle crossover, the Vomero Premium has already been seen on Steph Curry’s feet as he works his way back to the court from injury.
