Nike’s Vomero line has been a staple in the running world for nearly 20 years, with early models like the Vomero 5 now fully converted to lifestyle classics. The latest Vomero is the most advanced yet and features the highest stack in the running industry. As anticipation grows for the ultra-plush runner, which debuts in the Prototype colorway on October 2, a new black and volt green rendition brings an alien glow to every step.
The Nike Vomero Premium Black Volt brings Nike’s famed neon combo to the new performance runner, starting with a dark engineered mesh upper broken up by an iron grey swoosh and AIR MAX outlines across the side panels. The immediate attention grabber on the shoe is the midsole. Beyond the 55mm sole, the two Air Zoom bubbles in the middle are glowing with neon green volt like a spaceship touching down for an abduction.
Nike Vomero Premium Black Volt
The Vomero Premium’s high-rise ZoomX midsole with Air Zoom bubbles in the middle is the selling point of the shoe, adding as much rocker propulsion and cush comfort as possible. We first saw the Vomero Premium’s tech breakdown earlier this year, and in the months since, Nike has built hype for the shoe with a steady stream of colorways expected by the end of 2026. Of all the colorways previewed so far, this one is perfect for night running and might be our favorite.
The Nike Vomero Premium Black Volt will be released Holiday 2025 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $230.
