The Nike Air Max 1000 series is evolving like a Terminator. Okay, so it’s unlikely that a 3D-printed sneaker takes over the world, but just like the T-800, T-1000, and the rest of the updates from Arnold’s beloved robot time-travel movies, the Air Max 1000 is now on its third update, with the Air Max 1000.3 set to drop this week.
Keeping the same general shape as the Air Max 1000 and 1000.2, the debut colorway of the 1000.3 is a monochrome grey with a checkered texture on the toe and lower section of the side panels, plus the laceless tongue panel. The slip-on silhouette keeps the Air bubble in the heel for perfectly tuned support and cushioning.

The Air Max 1000.3 updates take place mostly on the outsole, with a refined shape and new lug construction. Just like the Air Max 1000.2, the new tooling speeds up the production process, creating the template for Nike to drop more pairs of the 3D-printed Air Max faster than ever before.
The Nike Air Max 1000.3 Pure Platinum will be released September 24, 2026 through Nike and Zellerfeld. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $180. For all the latest on Nike’s 3D-printed sneakers, download the Sole Retriever App.
