3D printing reached the masses over the last decade, and it’s allowed creative freedom for consumers and industries alike. In footwear, the 3D printing craze began in the mid-2010s, but the 2020s are where we saw real innovation thanks to Zellerfeld. The master 3D printers from Germany have been teaming up with a ton of designers and brands, including Nike, to drop some of the most comfortable 3D-printed shoes that rival traditional footwear. Continuing its partnership with The Swoosh on the Air Max 1-inspired Air Max 1000.2, Zellerfeld is raffling off pairs of a new Black Pink Spell colorway.
With the 1000.2 moniker, we know this version of the Air Max 1000 is the updated build, which, in actuality, doesn’t change the appearance of the 3D-printed sneaker. Instead, the refinements come via a new lug design on the outsole and subtle streamlined shape updates that lead to a better overall fit on-foot. The production time also increases thanks to this v2 update.

As for the shoe itself, the pair follows in the footsteps of the last 1000.2 releases with a primarily black finish on the 3D-printed portions of the silhouette. The various textures help separate the “panels” of the shoe, but we don’t see any change of color until you hit the Air unit in the heel tab. Here, the Air Max 1000.2-branded Air unit is done in a vibrant Pink Spell finish, with white branding to stand out.
The Nike Air Max 1000.2 Black Pink Spell will be released via an EQL raffle on Zellerfeld’s website. Entries will be open from June 22 to June 25, and a Nike SNKRS release will take place on the 25th as well. Retail is set at $180.
