Nike’s Deion Sanders Diamond Turf 2 Retro Run adds Fire Red Football Cleats

The San Francisco 49ers are hosting the Super Bowl this year at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, and the teams at Nike and Jordan are going all out for the occasion. In addition to the release of the highly anticipated Levi’s x Air Jordan 3 collection, The Swoosh is getting in on the action with a tribute to former 49er Deion Sanders and his red-and-gold Diamond Turf 2 Retro, with a football cleat TD version dropping on Super Bowl Sunday.

The Nike Air Diamond Turf 2 TD Fire Red joins the cross-trainer version of the colorway amidst a larger Diamond Turf push. This time, the red nubuck upper, white leather accents, and gold mesh are joined by a black inner bootie and a set of football spikes underfoot.

Beyond the cleat sole and inner bootie, the colorway is identical to the sneaker version, down to the red Velcro strap over the forefoot and white Swoosh branding. Passing the silhouette on to the second generation of Sanders ballers, Deion’s son Shedeur has also been seen with his own Diamond Turf PE colorways. He won’t be in the Super Bowl, but Shedeur was picked to replace Drake Maye in the Pro Bowl, so we might see some Diamond Turfs on the field in the Bay this weekend.
