Chinese New Year is one of the sneaker industry’s favorite holidays, with global appeal, rotating iconography, and a deep well of options for storytelling. This year, though, with the Year of the Horse approaching in just a couple of months, Nike is delving into the Lunar New Year celebration even more than usual.
The Nike Air Force 1 Year of the Horse Pegasus is the second Air Force 1 colorway to join Nike’s 2026 Lunar New Year collection, following a clean multi-Swoosh colorway first previewed last week. This time around, Beaverton is keeping the white base, adding a shimmering silver velvet Swoosh to the side panel, and embroidering small pegasus graphics in bright colors across the upper. Adding wings to the year’s Chinese Zodiac animal, the Pegasus Forces take flight in yellow, brown, pink, and more.

We’ve already seen Ja 3 and Kobe 8 Year of the Horse colorways for next year on the basketball side of the Swoosh, with a matching Dunk Low and Air Force 1 with mini Swooshes kicking off the lifestyle side of the collection. Beyond the Pegasus Forces, Nike is also adding matching pairs of the Vomero 18, P-6000, Field General, and LD-1000 to the Lunar New Year collection.
The Nike Air Force 1 year of the Horse Pegasus will be released Spring 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $125. For all the latest Nike Lunar New Year collection news, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
