At Nike, the Kobe planning never stops. In 2025, Beaverton brought us new Kobe Air Force 1s in full force and showed out for the Kobe 3, bringing back a Protro (performance retro) in high and low top versions, plus a crystal-studded pair for Vanessa Bryant. With Kobe’s Nike line back in the news thanks to new sneaker free agent Steph Curry, Nike is looking forward to 2026 with a black-on-black Orca colorway of the Kobe 3 Protro.
The Kobe 3 Protro Orca is a retro of an OG colorway of the Kobe 3. Starting with a full black upper on the leather toecap and honeycomb TPU shield shell across the side panels and ankle, the Kobe sheath logo on the tongue, and the Kobe and Nike Zoom branding on the heel are done in yellow for a hit of color. The large Swoosh striking across the heel of the shoe is done in white.
