Vanessa Bryant Reveals the Nike Kobe 3 Protro Low Halo

Back in the early days of Kobe Bryant’s signature sneaker line, the Black Mamba (and much of the basketball world) preferred high-top cuts, but that has changed with newer generations. Today, nearly all signature performance basketball models are done in mid-top or low-top form, and in line with Bryant’s Protro (performance retro) mentality, the high-top Kobe 3 Protro has now been converted into a low-top.
Revealed by Vanessa Bryant on Instagram, the low-top Kobe 3 Protro features the same upper and construction as the standard version, utilizing leather, mesh, and TPU across its design. This includes the TPU grid pattern reinforcing the mesh base and leather panels along the toe and heel. Outside of the sneaker’s lowered profile, the internal tooling remains the same, with the Kobe 3 Protro now featuring Zoom Air Stroble and Cushlon 3.0 foam and improved traction on the outsole. The pair pictured here matches the recently released Kobe 3 Protro Halo with its all-white finish.
This past weekend was packed with celebrations for Kobe Bryant. On Sunday, for Kobe Day (8/24), Nike restocked nearly a dozen different Nike Kobe sneakers, hosted the Mamba League Invitational, and launched the new Nike Kobe 3 Protro Christmas via the new SNKRS Reserve program. During the festivities, Vanessa Bryant even stepped out wearing a Swarovski-covered version of the recent Nike Kobe 3 Protro Halo.
The Nike Kobe 3 Protro Low will debut Spring 2026 in the Purple Venom colorway through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
