Earlier this year, Nike blessed some NCAA football programs with Vaporposite Cleats, including Oregon State, USC, The Ohio State University, Florida State, and the University of Texas, to name a few. You can’t wear those cleats to class and around campus, so Nike is transforming those pairs into more wearable versions, with matching versions of the Nike Air Foamposite Pro for the selected higher education institutions. After getting a look at the FSU pair, Nike is headed down to the Bayou for LSU.
The Nike Air Foamposite Pro LSU takes Eric Avar’s iconic silhouette and wraps the molded upper in a golden yellow with tiger-stripe graphics in a slightly darker shade to give it a subtle tiger flair. Breaking up the feline festivities is a large glossy white Swoosh on the side panels. Pops of purple suede appear on the eyestays and heel, also featuring a tiger stripe aesthetic at a closer glance. Yellow mini Swooshes on the eyestays add more school spirit to the look. LSU branding shows up on the tongue with a matching yellow, purple, and white pull tab that emulates the striped shoulders on the team’s football jerseys.

On the heel of the sneaker is the tiger’s glaring eye in place of the usual Nike branding. A purple heel tab embroidered with “Geaux Tigers” adds more subtle details to the celebratory sneaker. The colorway is completed by the translucent purple outsole that helps to sandwich the sneaker’s bolder element between two darker and more static design details.
The Nike Air Foamposite Pro LSU will be released on November 5, 2026 via Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $250. For the latest news in the world of streetwear, collectibles, and sneakers, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
