Real horror heads know; Frankenstein is the doctor, not the monster. Still, that’s never stopped pop culture from getting it wrong, calling the reanimated, green-skinned, bolt-head, Frank. The latest conflation of the monster and its maker comes from a new Nike Dunk paying tribute to the classic Mary Shelley story.
The Nike Dunk Low Frankenstein transforms the lifestyle shoe into the monster itself, mixing black and light brown suede across the upper with panels in pale, sickly green covered in exposed stitching as if it were put together in a dungeon laboratory. The side panel Swoosh is embroidered in black stitching for an added bit of detail, and a black midsole and olive outsole keep the colorway consistent through the entire shoe.

Beaverton has been going all-out for Halloween this year, putting together a pack of basketball shoes inspired by zombies, werewolves, the Grim Reaper, and more, plus a housefly pack with pests covering an Air Force 1 and an Air Max 95. Nike also covered the sweeter side of the holiday with a pair of candy corn-colored A’Ones.
The Nike Dunk Low Frankenstein will be released Holiday 2025, presumably before Halloween, through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120. For all the latest Dunk drops and news, make sure to download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
