Nike Adds Housefly Graphics to This Halloween Air Max 95

There are few experiences more frustrating than noticing a fly in your house. The constant buzzing and distraction are enough to drive anyone crazy, and sometimes, the easiest way to stop the annoyance is to grab the closest shoe and swing away like Aaron Judge. After bringing the sneaker swatter energy to a fly-print Air Force 1, Nike is applying the theme to the Air Max 95.

Starting with all-black leather on every panel of the upper, except mesh on the bottom half of the tongue, the Nike Air Max 95 Houseflies is covered with all-over print graphics of buzzing flies in grey. The pests are featured prominently on the tongue, too, with a spiderweb covering the Air Max logo. The only color on the pair comes from hits of neon green on the tongue label, Air bubbles, outsole, and lateral heel Swoosh. The flies even make their way to the outsole, embedded within the plastic window surrounding the Nike Air branding.

The Air Force 1 Housefly, featuring a white leather upper and black fly graphics dotted throughout, is slated to release this month. Taking that timing into account, combined with the spiderweb tongue graphic and volt green accents on the Air Max 95, we’re getting a sneaking suspicion that these could be a Halloween-themed drop. After all, flies do love a decomposing body.
