Since launching in 1997, the Air Max Plus has been a consistent part of Nike’s Air Max lineup. Over the last two years, fans of the Tuned Air-laden model have been blessed with retros of OG colorways, like the Sunset, Voltage Purple, and Hyper Blue, with the latter also joining a new variant to the Air Max Plus family in 2025. Alongside the Sunset colorway, the Air Max Plus Golf will launch in the Hyper Blue colorway.
On its base, the sneaker retains its mesh base, with a blue gradient color scheme that transitions from a light blue near the toe and tongue down to a darker blue near the edge and heel. Wavy, black TPU overlays inspired by the palm trees designer Sean McDowell saw on his vacation in Florida are placed across the upper to help with durability, matching the black lace set, sockliner, and the top of the tongue tag. Like the OG Hyper Blue variant of the Air Max Plus, this pair retains its yellow pops along the Nike Air logo on the tongue, the midfoot Swoosh, and the Tuned Air logo on the insole and heel.
