Over the last decade-plus, Nike has retooled countless classic silhouettes for the greens, converting models in the Air Max to feature golf-ready outsoles. 2025 will mark the first time the silhouette joins the Nike Golf family, and of course, to ring in this achievement, the golf-ready Air Max Plus will drop in the OG Sunset colorway.
Unlike the actual OG version of the silhouette that features a mesh base, the upper on this golf-ready iteration swaps out the breathable mesh for a more sturdy and element-resistant leather. Still, the material is coated in a gradient orange that evokes the image of a Florida sunset, transitioning from a light orange at the toe to a darker one near the heel. Above this base sits black TPU overlays inspired by palm trees that reinforce the upper and contrast the red Swoosh on the midfoot.
Other black details on the sneaker include the lace set, sockliner, heel tab, and tongue top, featuring red and black Nike Air logos. The classic Tuned Air logo is home on the heel tab and insole. Down below, the sole unit comes in the classic white and black finish with orange Tuned Air units in the heel and forefoot, while the outsole sees a spikeless traction pattern ready for the green.
The Nike Air Max Plus Golf Sunset will release January 23, 2025, through Nike and select Nike Golf retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $185.
