Skateboarding has a handful of modern legends, but Ishod Wair is at the top of the list. Your favorite skater’s favorite skater, the New Jersey-born ripper is a Thrasher Skater of the Year winner and has been part of the Nike SB team since his teenage years. The latest colorway of his second signature shoe, the Air Max Ishod, or Wair Max for short, is a shoutout to one of Wair’s non-skate hobbies, pool.
The Air Max Ishod Billiards goes multi-color with purpose, drenching panels in bright patent leather to match the colors of traditional pool balls. Starting with a clean white midsole, toebox, mesh side panel, and tongue, the toe panel gets 4-ball purple, the side panel gets 6-ball green, and the lace protection panel gets 2-ball blue. The lace loops get 1-ball yellow, the ankle collar gets 5-ball orange, the heel gets 3-ball red, and the midsole Air bubble gets 7-ball maroon. Last but not least, the side panel Swoosh gets 8-ball black. The insole features a pool shot graphic with Ishod’s name spelled out on billiards balls.
Nike SB Air Max Ishod Billiards
After starting SB with a focus on team shoes, Nike leaned into signature sneakers with the P-Rod series, and followed it up with a handful of silhouettes for legends like Eric Koston, Brian Anderson, Stefan Janoski, and Omar Salazar. Since then, Nike SB has reverted to a more team-focused approach, with riders getting Dunk colorways and special editions like Koston’s SB Air Max 95 or Grant Taylor’s Blazers, and currently, the only skaters with non-retro signature shoes in the catalog are Nyjah Huston and Wair. Frankly, if any skater deserves a shoe with their name on it, it’s Ishod.
The Nike Air Max Ishod Billiards will be released Fall 2025 through Nike and select Nike SB retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $125.
