Stone Island Returns to Soccer Roots with New Balance Cleat Collab

Terrace culture, the British phenomenon surrounding obsessive soccer fandom, has sparked some of the UK’s most prominent fashion exports, creating a global focus on adidas lifestyle silhouettes and fashion brands like Stone Island. From those football roots, Stone Island has evolved into one of the streetwear world’s most beloved brands, and its latest collab is taking it back to tradition, partnering with New Balance on a technically-sound soccer cleat and clothing collection.

The Stone Island x New Balance Furon Elite FG V8 X takes the performance soccer cleat from the New Balance line and retools it in a full sheet of ripstop fabric with an olive green monochrome makeover. The cleat features a Hypoknit upper bonded to a matte polyurethane film, keeping the large side panel “N” logos on the lateral side and adding Stone Island badge branding on the medial side of each shoe in large graphic overlays. The sole adds a bit of color with a metallic silver hit on the heel, but otherwise, the tonal green color covers the entire boot.
