Black and red will forever be associated with Michael Jordan. MJ took the court for the Chicago Bulls in that color combo for over a decade, and of course, his signature sneaker line was made to match the Bulls’ unis. Virtually every single Air Jordan 1-14 has some form of “Bred” (black and red) color scheme, but there’s a more modern take on this color palette: Bloodline. The next sneaker to join the Bloodline family is the Air Jordan 4.
If you had a thought the shoe was connected to Roman Reigns and his Bloodline faction, we’re going to burst your bubble. Although not an official tie-in with the WWE superstar’s faction, the Bloodline theme did get some extra promo from Reigns when Jordan Brand gifted him a pair ahead of the release. And like Reigns’ black and red color palette, the Jordan 4 Bloodline is expected to primarily feature those two hues.

Pictured is a speculative mock-up based on the color code of the sneaker, which is black, red, and white. Most of the model is coated in black hues, with the nubuck paneling on the toe, midfoot, and collar coming in this shade. More black is found on the netting, Nike Air branding on the heel, and the plastic wing support. The only real visible red detail on the shoe is on the Jumpman placed atop the tongue, but inside, red is expected to line part of the tongue. Finishing the shoe is the white and black midsole and outsole.

We first saw the Bloodline theme land on the Air Jordan 1 in 2019, and since then, we’ve seen it appear on the Jordan Luka 4, Tatum 4, and, most recently, the Air Jordan 12. Many have speculated or assumed that because it shares the same name as Roman Reigns’ Bloodline faction in WWE storyline, they’re connected. Jordan Brand has never officially connected the two, but we have seen Roman get blessed with early Jordans, and he helped promote the Air Jordan 12 Bloodline earlier this year.
According to zSneakerHeadz, the Air Jordan 4 Retro Bloodline will be released April 24, 2027, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Retail is set at $230. With the launch expected for late April, that lines up perfectly with WWE’s biggest event, WrestleMania, so maybe Jordan Brand will continue to lean in to Roman Reigns for promotion of this Bloodline shoe.
