Don’t call Olaolu Slawn an artist. The Nigerian designer makes sure to note what his profession isn’t in his Instagram bio, adding that he “paints like a 6-year-old.” Despite his contention, Slawn is a star in the art and design world, adding his cartoon faces and endless doodles to everything from canvas to race cars, hot air balloons, Nike sneakers and billboards. His latest endeavor? A take on the Crocs Classic Clog.
The Slawn x Crocs Classic Clog starts with a black base but covers it in an all-over print color bomb, mixing red, yellow, and blue with black and white for a marked-up graffiti doodle mix of cartoon line work. The black and white are consistent as the background colors mix from front to back, while a set of white eyes and mouth Jibbitz creates a creepy face on the front of the shoe, with a second, colorful Jibbitz set ready to make another face. The strap features a set of charms and metal hardware with Slawn’s signature on it.
Best known for its licensed pop-culture collab clogs, Crocs has been able to walk an incredible tight rope that also includes high fashion partnerships, unique design-forward silhouettes, and Classic Clogs made with graphics from fine artists, and “not-artists,” like Slawn. On the design side, Crocs has been on a hot streak with the recent Ripple, Gallery Shoe, and continuation of Salehe Bembury’s Pollex line.
The Slawn x Crocs Classic Clog will be released November 14, 2025 through Crocs and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $85. For all the latest Crocs collab news, make sure to download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
