Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is looking for an MVP three-peat. The OKC star and his Thunder teammates are looking to bounce back from a seven-game Western Conference Finals loss to the Spurs in May, with SGA doing his best to get the Larry back and secure his third consecutive MVP title. While much of the league shook up its rosters over the offseason, the only thing Shai and OKC are changing is the MVP’s sneaker sponsor.
Before Nike takes control of the Shai sneaker franchise, Converse is still rolling out its final run of starred pairs, including an upcoming Shock colorway in black and neon green. Unlike recent lace-up releases, the new pair returns to the OG zipper silhouette, covering up the neon behind a blacked-out shroud.

The Converse Shai 001 Shock features a pitch-black upper that changes shade with material shifts, bringing puffy synthetic fabric to the cushioned wings on either side of the zipper. Underneath the zipper, a neon green tongue and laces add a pop of color to the mix, with a return to black on Shai’s 2 logo.
The Converse Shai 001 Shock will be released September 24, 2026, through Converse and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $140. To keep up with all the latest SGA Converse news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
