Despite the second apron struggle that awaits the Oklahoma City Thunder when the team’s star contracts come up, there have been no indications that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is planning to leave OKC any time soon. On the sneaker side of things, though, his loyalty doesn’t run nearly as deep.

Shai’s Big Sneaker Switch is Coming Soon

Amidst constant speculation that Nike is getting set to drop Converse from its portfolio, SGA announced an in-house switch, moving his signature sneaker deal from Nike-owned Converse to Nike itself. Before Beaverton adds a Swoosh to the Shai 001, though, Converse has a few more pairs in the chamber ready to drop.

The final colorways of the Converse Shai 001 are all Lace-Up versions of the sleek silhouette, doing away with the zipper closure over the lace panel for a more traditional look. The first pair from the pack showed up earlier this year on Shai while grocery shopping, mixing a tan, green, and light blue upper with a cheetah print tongue. The other two colorways take their look from fruits, with a Lime pair that starts with a green base and adds grey on top, plus a Berry red pair in two tones of red and purple.

Converse Shai 001 Final Colorways Release Details

The Converse Shai 001 Final Colorways will be released in stages, with the Lime and Berry colorways dropping August, 14, 2026 followed by the Cheetah colorway on September 3, 2026, all through Converse and select retailers in-store and online. Available in adult and grade school sizing, the retail prices are set at $120 for unisex sizes and $100 for the GS pairs.
