The original Triple White adidas Ultraboost from 2015 has a bit of a Mandela Effect attached to it. Advertised as a triple white shoe with an all-white sole, the production model first seen on Kanye’s feet at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards eventually came out with a thin black outsole. The shoe kept the triple white name, but real heads know the truth.
Creative directors James Carnes and Dirk Schönberger took the new Primeknit-covered-Boost-cushioned-model and added premium details, drenched it in a true triple white color scheme, and released it under the Consortium label just a month later. Now, to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the shoe, the J&D (James & Dirk) Collective Ultraboost 1.0 is coming back in all its coke white glory.
White-on-white from the sole to the laces, the 2025 retro of the J&D Collective Ultraboost keeps the premium details of the original, adding a slightly tweaked Primeknit pattern, faux snakeskin on the lace cage, and leather insoles. The only hit of contrast comes on the gold Ultraboost logo on the lateral heel stabilizer, differing from the original's silver finish.
