When your week starts with a lawsuit from Nike, an infamous clerical error, and a hundred-million-dollar mistake reported around the world, you would think sneaker releases would be the furthest thing from your mind. CLOT x adidas Superstar Breathe Purple
CLOT’s long-running collaboration with adidas continues with a perfectly timed “Breathe” Purple Superstar, following up the “Breathe” Pink Superstar, playing on the theme of Breathe In, Breathe Out, and inner balance. The pale purple Superstar is constructed of semi-permeable mesh interwoven with leather for breathability. Monochrome purple covers the upper, but the serrated sole and half shell toe take on a distressed white rubber. CLOT branding lands on the heel counter of the left shoe, with “凝結集團” (CLOT Family) sitting above the Three Stripes.
Chen has no doubt had a busy week but he still made time to shout out the “Breathe” Superstars, posting a photo of the shoes on foot to Instagram amidst all the lawsuit chatter and subsequent corrections circulating online. Deep breaths, Edison. Deep breaths.
