Since beginning its partnership with adidas at the end of 2023, CLOT has been given creative liberty to reinterpret multiple adidas Originals sneakers, including the iconic adidas Superstar. This silhouette began the collaborative endeavors between the duo, starting with a mesh-based version of the sneaker that also included input from NEIGHBORHOOD, and has since been an integral part of the CLOT x adidas release calendar. Returning to the Superstar Breathe silhouette, Edison Chen and CLOT bring a pink palette for May 2025.
Last seen in Wonder White and Night Indigo, the silhouette is now rendered in a monochromatic pink color scheme across its upper. However, a few small changes are found on this Breathe version of the Superstar. The toebox forgoes the iconic shell toe design, harkening back to the design of the original NEIGHBORHOOD collab. Rubber still lines this suede toecap, while the rest of the upper, sans the eyelets, tongue, and heel tab, comes in an open-spaced mesh.
Branding on the lateral midfoot of the right shoe comes in Chinese, with the characters “凝結集團” translating to “CLOT,” while the left shoe features traditional Superstar text. Three Stripes are embroidered above the mesh midfoot in a tonal pink shade, while co-branded logos for CLOT and adidas are found on the tongue. Underfoot sits a rubber midsole and a serrated rubber outsole.
The CLOT x adidas Superstar Breathe Pink will release on May 23, 2025, exclusively through Juice Store online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is 1,199 HKD (approx $150 USD).
