Cities with competing sports teams make local fans pick a side. From the Yankees and Mets and Jets and Giants, to Cubs and White Sox and Lakers and Clippers, rules of sports fandom say you’ve gotta pick one. In Manchester, England, the soccer allegiances are split between Manchester United and Manchester City, and those rivalries run deep. That doesn’t matter to adidas, though, who brought together the two team colors, red and blue, for the original adidas Manchester in 2002. Now, to celebrate the return of the adidas City Series with local retailer size?, the Three Stripes is flipping the colorway for a return to Warehouse City.
Reversing the blue suede with red accents from 2002, the size? x adidas City Series Manchester starts with an upper of plush red suede on the toe, lace panel, and heel, with red nylon in between and baby blue accents on the side panel Three Stripes, heel tab, and tongue logo. Manchester branding is added above the Three Stripes in gold, and a black midsole underneath rounds out the colorway.

In 2002, adidas produced just 600 pairs of the Manchester, and in 2010, the shoe came back in the OG colorway for a 500 pair limited release. Now, the reversed colorway continues the size? x adidas gets a boosted, but still exclusive 2,500 pair release to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the City Series. The limited release is denoted on the heel panel, with “1/2500” inscribed in gold.
The size? x adidas City Series Manchester will be released December 11, 2025 exclusively at size? Manchester, followed by a release at all size? retailers on December 13, 2025.
