We haven’t even hit Halloween yet, but retailers and big brands around the globe are already speed-running the Fall and getting ready for the biggest buying season of the year, Christmas. And considering the success of the AE 1, adidas is going all out with Anthony Edwards’ second signature shoe, bringing the holiday cheer to a pair of bright red and green AE 2s ready to go Rudolph mode to the rim.
The adidas AE 2 Christmas is ready for the NBA’s December 25th headliner between the Timberwolves and the Nuggets, with grey on the toe, black on the lace panel, and a two-tone Santa split on the side panels, with red covering the lateral side and green on the medial side. The Christmas split continues to the translucent outsole, with the half and half color scheme extending up to the slight runners toe on the front of the shoe.

Edwards took the sneaker world by surprise with his first signature model, bringing adidas back to the top of the performance basketball landscape and slotting a unanimous contender for 2024 sneaker of the year honors. The AE 2 may have stumbled out of the gate prior to launch, but it’s beginning to catch on in its own right. Performance features are top-notch, including Lightboost and Lightstrike foam and a reduction in weight compared to the AE 1, but the off-the-court styling lacks the same energy as the original.
The AE 2 Christmas will be released December 20, 2025 through adidas and select retailers in-store and online. Available in adult and youth sizing, the retail prices are set at $130, $100, and $80 for adult, grade school, and pre-school sizes, respectively.
