Japanese Retailer Billy's Teams Up With Adidas for Adizero Adios Collab

The Adizero Adios OG is best known for its place in marathon history, debuting with a world record on the feet of runner Haile Gebrselassie at the 2008 Berlin Marathon, but before the starting gun, the Adios OG spent years undergoing development in Japan. Japanese sneaker retailer Billy's never remembers, and now they've teamed up with The Three Stripes for two pairs of exclusive colorways with a unique, all-occasions twist.

The Billy's x Adidas Adizero Adios OG collection sees the sporty silhouette done up for the office in two monochrome variations: one deep brown and the other light cream. Instead of styling the running shoe in its original marathon mode, Billy's shot a campaign for the shoes paired with slacks, dresses, ties, and overcoats.

"The sophisticated tonal colorway is perfect for urban settings, and
the design is simple yet sophisticated, blending seamlessly into the city without compromising on functionality," the Billy's team says.

The Adizero Adios OG has given way to a slew of advanced performance running shoes, but like so many runners from the past, the Adios OG has evolved into a beloved lifestyle shoe. First making retro waves last year when Wales Bonner dropped a retro of the 2008 world record colorway, the Adios OG has seen a few noteworthy colorways since.

The Billy's x Adidas Adizero Adios OG collection is currently available for pre-order until August 10th, 2025 and will release officially on August 11, 2025 exclusively through Billy's in Japan.
