Looking across the entire sneaker industry, you’ll find a slew of collaborators who draw plenty of eyes to various brands, however, one has remained on top for the last few years - Travis Scott. Fans clamor, Twitter explodes, websites crash and information spreads like wildfire whenever the world gears up for another collaboration between The Swoosh (whether it be Nike or Jordan Brand) and Travis Scott with his website’s infamous raffle process being the ceremonial kickoff for the rollout. After securing 2.4 million entries when he dropped the “Reverse Mocha” colorway of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low, a source close to the Cactus Jack team has confirmed to us that the recent raffle for the “Phantom” colorway saw over 3.5 million entries.
Pulling these numbers over the course of a few days isn’t something too uncommon, however, Travis’ website only allows entries for around half an hour to an hour, showcasing that his star power and influence is as strong as ever after taking a hiatus in the first half of 2022. The 3.5 million entries occurred in just under an hour with the raffle running from 7:38pm EST to 8:36pm EST. According to the Cactus Jack Team, the new bot protection put in place helped curb bot entries to an extent, giving "real ragers" a better chance at winning. Closing out the year with these strong numbers, we’re still expecting to see Scott bring his touch to the Air Jordan 7 and even receive his very own signature silhouette with either Jordan Brand or Nike in the new year.
Even if you took L on Travis’ site for his collaborative Air Jordan 1 Low Phantom, next year will see Travis tackle yet another AJ 1 Low and give everyone one last shot at getting one of the hottest AJ 1 Low collabs in recent memory.
