Team USA Men's Ice Hockey Jerseys are Sold Out Everywhere
PublishedOn Sunday morning, the United States men’s ice hockey team pulled off the impossible, upsetting an absolutely loaded Team Canada to win its first Olympic Gold Medal since the Miracle on Ice 46 years ago. It was a thrilling sudden-death overtime victory, sealed with a beautiful snapper from Jack Hughes, marking just the 3rd Gold Medal for the US men in ice hockey ever.
The whole country celebrated alongside the men’s hockey team, who joined the US women’s ice hockey team in securing gold, catapulting the entire US Olympic team to its best-ever performance in the Winter Olympics with 12 Golds. The men’s game was on early in the morning, so the news of their triumphant performance trickled out over the course of the day as people watched their DVR and the prime-time replay of the event.
As Olympic fever reached a fever pitch around the country in the wake of the monumental win, American hockey fans wanted to celebrate and support their squad by copping a jersey but were unsuccessful. Everywhere you look for a Team USA hockey jersey, they’re completely sold out and have been for a little while. It seems like Nike and Fanatics dropped the jerseys on their sites and many other retailers before the Winter Olympics and never restocked when they sold out. With the long lead time and not many people expecting the US team to win gold, it seems there wasn’t enough supply produced to meet the demands of a gold medal run.
Thankfully, there are some other pieces of Team USA Hockey gear available on Nike’s online shop so you can celebrate the biggest victory in a half-century in style.
