No one knows the true identity of Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto, but if you’re to believe the fashion brand by the same name, he was a pretty stylish guy. Combining a dystopian punk ethos with cryptocurrency cache from the name, the brand has made its way into the mainstream through collaborations with sneaker brands like Vans and Salehe Bembury’s newly launched Spunge. Now, the mysterious label is back with the SoCal skate legends on a bejewelled Vans Era 95.

Photos of the Satoshi Nakamoto x Vans Era 95 first surfaced on the Instagram page of reseller Justin Reed, but later Satoshi Nakamoto revealed the collab. Following in the footsteps of the collaborative Old Skool 36 colorway that dropped in June, the Era 95 starts with a black canvas upper, but adds plenty of flair with rips on the ankle and toebox, and childlike jewels strung throughout. Multi-color stars and circles line the ankle collar, smaller jewels curve around the front of the toebox, and four colorful beads are strung through the bottom shoelace. To complete the co-branded colorway, Satoshi Nakamoto branding wraps around the entire midsole.

The Satoshi Nakamoto x Vans Old Skool 36 from earlier this year also added gems to the upper, and the theme has stuck at the skate shoe brand, with a series of jewel-covered Old Skools selling out last month, and a Mattias Gollin beaded Slip-On is releasing this weekend at Art Basel.

The Satoshi Nakamoto x Vans Era 95 will be released February 2026 through Satoshi Nakamoto, Vans, and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is still TBD.
