There’s no denying Rick Owens’ influence on sneaker culture. Ever since the California-born designer introduced the Geobasket and Dunk silhouettes in the mid-2000s, his avant-garde approach has redefined how fashion views footwear. In recent years, he's worked with Converse, fusing brutalist design with the classic silhouettes and shapes the footwear brand is known for. Next up is the Rick Owens x Converse DRKSHDW One Star Pro.
While his earlier Converse collabs focused on padded leather, chunky soles, and minimalist detailing, this latest release turns up the texture. Dropping under his DRKSHDW line, the Prince of Darkness has reimagined the One Star Pro in two colorways, including Acid Black and Dark Dust. At first glance, both look deceptively classic, but a closer look reveals they’re completely covered in pony hair that stretches all the way from the toebox to the heel, giving the familiar silhouette a wild new tactility.

A co-branded tongue tag and the signature DRKSHDW star etched into the sidewalls nod to Owens’ past Converse projects, including the TURBOWPN Ox that dropped back in April. Beneath it all sits a vulcanized rubber sole unit, combining Converse’s timeless skatewear sensibility with Owens’ darkly architectural aesthetic.
The Rick Owens x Converse DRKSHDW One Star Pro Pack is scheduled to release on November 18, 2025, via Rick Owens, Converse, and select retailers both online and in-store in men’s sizing. Want a pair? Then grab the Sole Retriever mobile app for your best chance to cop.
