Nike Unveils Upcoming Releases with SNKRS Verified

The sneaker industry is no stranger to leaks and early rumors. Media companies, influencers, and even the regular consumer are operating on timetables much longer than the brand would like, as we receive word of new releases sometimes over a year out. Nike has taken some steps to thwart leakers, like how Ja Morant can now drop first looks at his latest model, the Ja 4, before an official rollout can begin, but we’ve also seen Nike take a jab at leakers in other ways. The Nike SNKRS Showcase was a video press release featuring host Brandon Jenkins that detailed upcoming releases for the next few quarters, though it seems this has been replaced by a new series called SNKRS Verified.

Loaded on the Nike SNKRS app without warning, SNKRS Verified is described by The Swoosh as “an always-on editorial dedicated to the upcoming season's most anticipated drops.” Nike promises to provide “real product stories, inspiration, details, and release news straight from Nike’s very own designers and PLMs.”

In the debut episode, SNKRS Verified has showcased a few previously seen sneakers, including the Nike Rejuven8 Jelly pack, the Air DT Max ‘96 Low, the Vomero Premium FDL, the Air Max 90 Ultramarine, the Air Max Goadome Low, and the Air Foamposite Pro Red October. Interesting to note that in Nike’s official copy, they are calling the all-red Foamposite Pro “Red October.” This is the first time the brand has officially given this nickname, which originated via Ye (FKA Kanye West) and his Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red October.

Outside of stamping the Red October-inspired Foamposites with the name, Nike did unveil the next colorway of the Mind 002 Flyknit. The original Nike Mind 002 Flyknit launched with a fragment design collab, but SNKRS Verified notes that Nike ISPA developed the Flyknit upper first, and this launch will be the first in-line Flyknit Mind colorway. Another “first look” (the pair was leaked by an Instagram account earlier this month) comes in the form of a Vomero Premium with a new textured upper.

We’ll see how long Nike SNKRS Verified runs for, and what other products are unveiled via the new program. Expect all of these sneakers previewed to launch by the end of the Summer 2026 season (April-June).
