The Nike SB P Rod 1 Dodgers Just Dropped in France

Lyon, France, is an important destination for skateboarding. The French town is where Leo Valls grew up, with the city’s plazas and rough landscape inspiring the Magenta Skateboards founder to hone his dancer's style that would go on to help influence a generation of skaters around the globe at the turn of the 2010s. Lyon is also home to Wall Street skate shop, where a new pair of Nike SB Paul Rodriguez Zoom Air Lows just debuted in a seemingly random drop.

The Nike SB Paul Rodriguez Zoom Air Low Dodgers has been on our radar since P Rod showed off the LA baseball-inspired colorway on a livestream last fall. Taking on the home jersey colorway of Rodriguez’s hometown Dodgers, we’ve been expecting the pair to drop sometime this summer, but the online release at the French skate shop is the first time we’ve seen the pair pop up for sale.

Starting with shades of Flint Grey and Medium Grey suede across the upper, the Swoosh brings in a hit of Dodger blue in more suede to match the plush sockliner and the tongue tag logo. The repeating PR monogram hit on the heel panel adds a bit of luxury in black, while the white midsole finishes the Dodger jersey trifecta alongside the blue and grey.
