Nike has partnered with the MoMA Design Store to launch a series of limited-edition products, starting with the MoMA Nike Everyday Sock. The intersection of movement and design is at the basis of the two iconic brands' ongoing relationship, reminding us that inspiration can be found in the most commonplace items.

Nike's history with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) dates back to 2017 when the Nike Air Force 1 was featured in MoMA's groundbreaking exhibition, “Items: Is Fashion Modern?” This exhibit explored 111 clothing items and accessories that have significantly influenced the world over the past century. MoMA Design Store cemented its bond with Nike the following year by launching the now-grail-status Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 MoMA and a co-branded MoMA Nike Elite basketball sock.

The latest collaboration builds on the shared ethos between Nike and MoMA Design Store, focusing on the seamless blend of fashion, function, material, technology, aesthetics, and culture. Nike's enduring design philosophy, famously encapsulated by co-founder Bill Bowerman's belief that “If you have a body, you’re an athlete,” has been integral to Nike’s approach from its inception, driving the brand to create performance products that resonate with a diverse audience.

MoMA Design Store, known for curating objects that embody thoughtful design principles, aligns perfectly with Nike's mission. Every product featured in the store meets stringent criteria set by the Museum’s curators, ensuring they enhance the lives of those who engage with them.

The MoMA Nike Everyday Sock, the first release in this series, features the iconic Swoosh and MoMA branding on the calf, with a subtle yet impactful “Just Do It” stitched at the toe. The sock, designed with athletes in mind, incorporates shock-absorbing soles and a moisture-wicking upper, providing comfort and support on the field or in everyday life.

This limited-edition sock is exclusively available at MoMA Design Store locations across the United States, with all proceeds supporting educational programs at the Museum. Other co-branded products (hopefully footwear included) are expected to launch at a later date.
