Considering its rich history in specific cities, it makes sense Nike would use the Air Force 1 as a canvas to celebrate various cities and their cultures across the nation. We’ve seen the humble AF1 has already appeared in an “H-Town” colorway that pays homage to Houston, Texas and its well-known custom car scene, however, it seems 2023 will continue to look across the southern portions of the US for inspiration. Taking over the Nike Dunk Low, the city of Atlanta is now getting honored on the Nike Air Force 1 Low.
Coming in a mixture of suede and leather, the sneaker takes on a monochromatic shade of red across the entire upper with accenting orange hits landing throughout. Textured leather overlays appear on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel while suede makes its mark on the toebox, quarter panel, and collar. Tonal red laces match the tongue on which they rest as does the Nike AF1 branding on the embroidered tag. Along the profile, you’ll find a semi-translucent orange Nike Swoosh that runs back and passes by the “ATL” graphic on the lateral heel and stops near yet another Nike-branded graphic on the heel. Underfoot, the chunky AF1 midsole is dressed in white and comes complete with a red rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low ATL is set to drop in March 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
