PublishedQuick Facts
- A Reddit user posted an in-hand photo of a F&F Kith New Balance 993

- Don't expect a release as these will be exclusive to friends and family of Kith

Reddit is an expansive corner of the internet. There’s everything from expert reviews on vacuum cleaners to stuff like deep dive fan fiction that you definitely don’t need to explore. On the sneaker side of things, Reddit is full of unprompted opinions and endless arguments, but it can also be home to unexpected finds and unseen colorways that might otherwise stay under wraps forever, like this new collab colorway recently posted on the New Balance subreddit.
The New Balance 993 Kith Friends & Family release takes some notes from the recent Kith New York Knicks 993 collection, but takes out the orange accents to remove the team connotations. Starting with an off-white cream suede on the toe, heel, and bottom of the side panel, the rest of the side panel is done in grey suede, with grey on the toebox support panels to match. The color comes from a deep blue mesh covering the rest of the upper with a lighter blue on the “N” side logo and more silver grey on the top of the tongue. The midsole is split between off-white and cream with more grey on the heel.
Ronnie Fieg and Kith have been prolific collaborators across brands, but when it comes to New Balance, the New York brand has always brought things back to the classic mix of suede and mesh, including the recent Knicks pack, 204Ls, 2010s, and more.
We’ve only seen the single photo of this pair from the Reddit post, and if the Friends & Family designation is correct, it’s not likely we’ll see much more from this pair anytime soon. Knowing Kith, though, we’re sure there will be a new collaborative New Balance to cop in due time. For all the latest Kith sneaker collab news, make sure to download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
