Jordan Brand Brings Back "The One" Global Basketball Tournament for 2025

Jordan Brand is once again highlighting elite youth basketball with the return of The One, a global one-on-one tournament showcasing the next generation of hoopers. Following a successful inaugural run in 2024, the premier competition will expand its global footprint in 2025, giving young athletes a platform to chase greatness and earn the coveted title of The One.

The second edition of the tournament tips off May 24 in London during the Hoopsfix All Star Classic weekend, with boys and girls aged 15 to 18 competing in a high-stakes, winner-takes-all format. From there, qualifiers will be hosted across more than 15 cities worldwide — including basketball hotbeds like Los Angeles, Beijing, Manila, Tokyo, Paris, Chicago, and Hong Kong. The top 20 players will punch their tickets to the finals in New York City this August, where knockout rounds and streamed championship matchups will decide who joins Jordan Brand’s roster as official ambassadors.

Inspired by Michael Jordan’s legendary backyard duels with his brother Larry — battles that shaped his competitive fire — The One embodies the raw, defiant confidence that built the Jumpman legacy. Last year’s winners, Tatianna Griffin of Los Angeles and Steve Bah of Paris, made headlines with electric performances at Paris’ District 23 arena, elevating their profiles on a global stage. As Griffin shared, “To represent the Jumpman is the ultimate symbol of greatness.”
