Jordan Brand is well known for crafting special sneakers for athletes, influencers, and celebrities over the years with recent memory showcasing PE pairs like the Nipsey Hussle-themed Air Jordan 1 High ‘85 and a gold-covered OVO x Air Jordan 8 just in the last few months. Once again taking the internet by storm, English Sole has showcased an ultra-rare PE colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG made for legendary sports commentator Craig Sager.
Before his untimely passing, Sager would be spotted courtside at NBA games rocking bold and colorful suits, often with crazy patterns and designs, and Jordan Brand channels his style perfectly with this sample AJ 1 High. An array of mismatched details, including flannel designs and patterns you could picture him wearing, take over the canvas-constructed model. Bright red shades with accent stitching land on the mudguard and wings logo-laden collar overlay while pinstripe details take over the lowermost eyestay overlay and heel. On the tongue and quarter panel sits a black and white patterned canvas with the Swoosh logo coming in a digital camo-Esque design. Rounding out the sneakers is the mismatched sole unit with the right pair featuring yellow and the left coming in blue while both get a semi-translucent rubber outsole splitting the phrase "Sager Vision."
