Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Chrome Outfits Inspire This Converse Shai 001

One of the league’s brightest stars and probably its most nonchalant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has a penchant for all things luxury. This effortless style even translates to his signature sneaker line with Converse, the Shai 001, which recently dropped in its first luxe colorway inspired by truffle chocolate. While we’re not far from the release of his Blush pink and Camo colorways, Shai is getting chromed out for the holiday season with another new colorway of his Shai 001.

In this exclusive image obtained by Sole Retriever, we can see the Shai 001 veers off from the traditional monochrome that has defined virtually all of the colorways thus far, opting for a two-tone white and chrome color scheme. Metallic silver panels land on the base layer, while the puffy neoprene panels surrounding the zipper shroud are done in cream. More of this cream shade coats the sockliner and collar.

A true white shade is used for the tongue overlay, which features a silver Shai logo designed by SGA himself. Finishing the sneaker is the silver midsole and outsole. Inspiration for the colorway comes from SGA’s love of all things chrome. The reigning NBA MVP has been spotted plenty of times in tunnel walks and outside of arenas rocking chrome apparel.

The Converse Shai 001 Chrome will be released Holiday 2026 through Converse, Nike SNKRS, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price has not yet been announced.
