Concepts has always been one of the sneaker industry’s best boutique collaborators. After decades in the game, the Boston-based retailer has expanded its retail footprint to NYC and Dubai. Still, when they team up with brands like Nike SB, adidas, Puma, and more, Concepts takes the classic route, bringing local themes to a global audience, most notably with its Nike SB Dunk Lobster collection.
A New Concept from Concepts
On its latest collab pair with New Balance, Concepts is bringing a clean mix of hairy suede to a 990v4. Seen in one quick image from the industry’s favorite photographer, AD Sneaks, the picture has since been deleted, but Arab Lincoln posted more in-hand looks shortly after this article was published.
From what we could see from the leaked preview image, the 990v4 Made in USA pair features a greyish off-white mesh with a wavy zig-zag pattern, and layers of brown, tan, and burgundy suede across the upper. The toe, lace, and main side panel are all soft tan, the backing support panels add dark perforated brown, and the heel panel adds a plush, luxurious burgundy shade. Finally, an olive green shade brings it all together on the side panel logo, heel tab, and midsole accents.
